oil on canvas
42 x 64 inches
This painting was inspired by Arshile Gorky was an Armenian-American painter, who had a seminal influence on Abstract Expressionism. He spent most his life as a national of the United States.
I used rabbit skin glue to prime the canvas. I wished to use the natural qualities of the canvas, and use the paint in thin water transparent manner.
The title of the painting relates to me thinking about my father and how he passed away a few years before.
